Joe Clarke, 65, of Bass Lake, called friends at about 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31, telling them that he was on his way to Coarsegold to pick them up. When he didn’t arrive, they began to worry.

NORTH FORK – First responders were called out to a dirt bike vs. Jeep accident on Autumn Ridge Way this afternoon. After receiving several different locations as the site of the accident, they were able to locate the injured party about 4 miles up Autumn Ridge from the Cascadel Woods gate.

OAKHURST – Memorial services for Robert (Bob) Abner McKee (1920-2013) will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church at 39696 Hwy 41 in Oakhurst, Bob McKee, Sr., passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92 on Monday, May 6, surrounded by his family.

NORTH FORK – A motor vehicle accident on Road 233 tonight left passersby and first responders wondering what happened to the occupants. When residents on their way up the hill on Cascadel Road came upon a Jeep flipped onto its roof in the middle of northbound lane, they stopped to render assistance, but no one was in the vehicle.

NORTH FORK – The community is invited to participate in a free training program to become part of a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The CERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.

OAKHURST – An accident on Highway 49 near Goldside Drive caused traffic backup for nearly an hour as the scene was cleared. Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, Sean McMahon, 25, of North Fork was pulling out of a driveway on the east side of Highway 49, in a 1996 Jeep towing a trailer, preparing to head south.
