OAKHURST – The Yosemite Unified School District has announced that the Baker Swim Complex opening day is Monday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Baker Swim Complex is on the campus of Yosemite High School. According to organizers, the regular lap and recreational swim schedule runs Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

LAKE TAHOE – Some of the young female athletes who are more used to populating Bass Lake in summer, and Oakhurst-area basketball courts nearly all other times, found themselves at Lake Tahoe and its surrounds recently. COARSEGOLD – The widely anticipated local production of the third in a series known as the Fairy Garden Ballet is coming to the stage at Rivergold school, starring 33 local dancers. This marks the premiere of Fairy Garden Ballet: Inspire, a show which is written, choreographed and produced by Community Dance and Theater in Coarsegold.
