OAKHURST – The Yosemite Unified School District has announced that the Baker Swim Complex opening day is Monday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Baker Swim Complex is on the campus of Yosemite High School.
According to organizers, the regular lap and recreational swim schedule runs Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The pool is closed on Sundays and closed after 5 p.m. for special events to be determined. Lessons will still take place during swim meets.
A special price of $3 for opening day only allows individuals to swim all day for the discounted fee.
Open/recreational swimming fees are general admission whether swimming or not. Cash and check are accepted. The closing date for the pool complex is Saturday, August 16.
After opening day, the regular admission fee is $4 per person before 5 p.m. for age 1 and over. The cost is $3 per person after 5 p.m. The price for seniors citizens is $3.50.
Swim diapers are required for infants and toddlers who are not potty trained.
Water aerobics are offered Monday through Friday from 9 – 10 a.m. The daily drop-in rate is $4 and the weekly rate is $10; the monthly rate is $30.
Lap swimming is available during recreation swim hours, with a drop-in rate of $ per person. The weekly rate is $10; the monthly rate is $35.
The snack bar is open during hours of pool operation.
The pool is available for parties during normal business hours. The party cost is $140 for 20 guests and $7.50 for each additional guest. The party includes 3 hours in the pool along with an assigned party area, personal party host, cupcakes, and juice boxes.
Decorations, plates, forks and candles are not included. Party times are Monday – Saturday, noon to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pinatas are not permitted, though pizza or hot dogs can be arranged at a discounted rate.
