Good Times In Tahoe For Badgers Club Basketball

LAKE TAHOE – Some of the young female athletes who are more used to populating Bass Lake in summer, and Oakhurst-area basketball courts nearly all other times, found themselves at Lake Tahoe and its surrounds recently.

The Club basketball team of middle school-age Yosemite Badgers participated in the Xtreme Hoops Tournament there, from May 23 – 26.

Congratulations to the local Yosemite Badger girls, who placed 3rd overall in their division, and had a great time in the process.

“Most of the girls have been playing club ball together for several years, and were thrilled to finish this season with a 14-6 win-loss record,” said parent Stacey Montalto.

The team was coached by Stan Lawrence, Bernie McGoldrick, and Dave Detmer. The team roster included Ellery Meade, Kelsey Montalto, Brooke Negley, Abigail Williams, AnnaMaria Luther, Addison McCulley, Sophia McGoldrick, Isabella Peter, Natalie Lawrence, Hailey Rich, Grace Fries and Linnea Leinau.
