O’NEALS – Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the O’Neals area. A double-wide mobile home just off Road 211, and south of Road 210, was fully engulfed when the first engines arrived on scene.

WEED – The Weed Police Department today arrested Ronald Beau Marshall, 24, of Weed, Calif., in connection with the Boles Fire, which destroyed 516 acres, 157 homes, and forced the evacuation of more than 4,000 people. Over 1,000 firefighters were on the front lines battling this destructive fire.

Scenic Byway Open, Some Campgrounds Remain Closed

Road 426 Reopens To The Public

OAKHURST – As of 6 p.m., Road 426 through the Courtney Fire area has now been reopened to the public. An MCAlert has been issued to area residents, and Cal Fire has released official notice that the road is now open. Residents who need more information on the recovery process can call Madera County Office of Emergency Services at 559-675-7770.
