Memorial Service For Carolinda Bybee

After a lengthy battle with depression, Carolinda Bybee passed away in January of 2014. She was 34 years old.

Carolinda was born in Mountain View, CA, on November 10, 1979. Her family moved to North Fork in 1985, where she lived most of her life other than a few more years in the Mountain View area.

She graduated from Sierra High School in Tollhouse and attended Fresno City College. Locally, Carolinda worked at WorldMark Bass Lake and at Sierra Chiropractic Center in Oakhurst.

She was an avid music listener who enjoyed Tori Amos, Ani DeFranco, Utah Phillips, Nick Cave, The Doors, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and more. Carolinda was also concerned about the welfare of others and often volunteered to help people and animals in need.

Carolinda is survived by her grandmother Earline, her parents Steve and Freda, and her sister and brother-in-law Crystal and Scott, as well as an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins with whom she was very close.

She also leaves behind several cats that she loved dearly as well as many friends in the Mountain Area and the Bay Area.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carolinda’s memory to the Eastern Madera County SPCA: http://www.emcspca.org/donate.htm.

There will be a viewing at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel, 49269 Road 426 in Oakhurst from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 24 at 1pm at Calvary Chapel of the Sierra, 31907 Oak Junction Lane in North Fork. After the service, there will be a burial at North Fork Cemetery. A reception will follow at North Fork Town Hall.

  1. I’m very shocked to be reading this. I was close with her for a short time. I wanted to connect back with her on Facebook. I don’t know what to say. My regards to the family
