Celebration of Life for Norman Chenowith

On Friday, March 8, 2024, Norman Chenowith passed away. He was 92 years old. Norm was the 8th of 9 children born to Ernest & Nettie Chenowith.

During his lifetime, Norm was an X-ray technician in the Army during the Korean War, a restaurant owner/manager, an apple ranch owner, a construction worker, and a bowling maintenance technician. He enjoyed bowling, volleyball, snow-skiing, traveling, family game night, puzzles, and, especially, reading his Bible and communing with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

Norm lived in the mountain community since 1969 with his family. First at the Apple ranch on Mammoth Pool Road, then later in Oakhurst.

Norm is survived by his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Gaile; children Kurt, Kim & wife Michele, Karen & husband Lee; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Norm’s celebration of life service will be (or was) Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 p.m. at HIS Church campus, 32011 Meadow Ridge Ln, Coarsegold.
