Visit The Art Gallery On Earth Day

NORTH FORK – The Greater North Fork Gallery will have a special opening at the Earth Day festivities on Saturday, Apr. 20 at the Old Mill Site.

The gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring work by local artists including Julie Konno, Anne Bredon, Michael Freemire, Joanne Freemire, Ruth Rosenthal, Charlie Overstreet, Diann Miller, Dee Shafer, Madeline Jacquot, Pat Potter and Phyllis Overstreet.Throughout the regular season, which will begin on May 5, with hours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can enjoy demonstrations including watercolor painting, loom weaving, flower sculpting, plus various jewelry making techniques, including making jewelry from rocks and glass beads.

The Greater North Fork Gallery is a co-op of many local artists, and is totally operated by those who have chosen to participate and display their work. It is a wonderful resource for anyone wishing to find local artwork which is inspired and created by those who live, work and wander in the mountain area.

The Gallery is located in the CDC building at the Old Mill Site. Be sure to stop in during your visit on Earth Day.
