Peak Wellness Expo at Coarsegold Community Center Jan. 13

COARSEGOLD – Did you set health goals for 2024? A week into the new year, how’s it going? If you need a boost toward forging a path to better health,  help is on the way.

Eastern Madera County Recreation and Parks (EMRAP), a local non-profit volunteer organization, brings together a wealth of community resources at a Peak Wellness Expo.  The event takes place at Coarsegold Community Center on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm. This event gives you an opportunity to meet with professionals in various fields of health and wellness. It’s also a one-stop-shop to learn about resources available to seniors, veterans and those in need of assistance with food and other necessities.

Be Prepared

Even if you don’t need this information now, take advantage of the occasion to compile a list for future reference. You never know when it might come in handy. Perhaps you’ve never heard of some of these modalities (reiki, float spa, etc.). Talk directly to  service providers to learn what they’re all about and how they might benefit you and your family. Information will be available regarding free food distribution, the senior lunch program as well as community and veteran outreach resources, including Narcan.

Resources Attending

Among the presenters expected to be present are Madera County Behavioral Health/Outreach/Narcan, Sierra Ambulance, Blue Sky Massage, MD Fitness, Sierra Float Spa, Oakhurst LGBTQIA+, Caring Vets, Sparkly Miller (Life Coach), EMRAP (Senior Lunch Program), Coarsegold Health Center (Camarena), Coarsegold Food Distribution, Madera County Sheriff’s Office COPS program, Mountain Community Wellness and more.

The event is free to attendees, and food will be available for purchase from Intertribal Tacos and Muscle Dogs Gourmet Hot Dogs.
