North Fork's 26th Annual 8th Grade Play

Submitted by Robyn Flory

NORTH FORK – Students have been hard at work preparing for the North Fork School’s 26th Annual 8th Grade Play, to be presented on Friday, Mar. 27.

This year’s play is called “Happily Never After!” and is a comedy about what might happen if our Fairy Tale Prince and Princesses really didn’t live happily ever after.

For example, Sleeping Beauty will do nothing but nap, the Frog Prince refuses to give up his amphibian ways, and nothing will pry Cinderella away from her beloved cinders.

Naturally the spouses are complaining, and there is no choice but to rewrite the endings of the famous stories, by running everyone through the computer for new matchings. The results? You will have to come and see!

Sleeping Beauty played by Sophia Menosa and Prince Ling played by Tristan KillianThis play is a major fundraiser for the 8th grade class’s field trips and graduation, and is sponsored by the The Squirrel Cage Theatre Company.

The North Fork School 4th and 5th grade classes will have a special presentation that evening, with some surprises of their own.

Curtain time is 7 p.m., and the cost of the play is just $3. Snacks and drinks will be sold that evening, so please mark your calendars for Friday, Mar. 27, for an evening of entertainment and fun.
