O’NEALS — High school sports games are important events: not only do they provide a source of entertainment for many people, they also encourage school pride and help build team spirit in players.
It’s great for the athletes when they are supported by their fans, and who gets a crowd cheering better than cheerleaders?
This month, Minarets High School is hosting tryouts for the 2016-2017 school year’s cheer team. Clinics will be held from Monday, Mar. 14 through Thursday, Mar. 17, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the school.
Cheerleading is a great way to promote school spirit and build team bonding skills, so if you are now or plan to be a student at Minarets, and you like to dance and cheer for your sports teams, it’s a great opportunity for you!
