Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through May 26

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 20 to Sunday, May 26, 2019.

Coarsegold juvenile making threats
On Tuesday, May 21 at 9:32 a.m. a deputy responded in regards to a threats call. A juvenile was arrested and booked at Madera County Juvenile Hall. A report was written and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, May 22 at 12:46 p.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst substation for a report of a theft that occurred in the area of Ranger Circle Drive and Revis Road. According to the victim, unknown suspects cut the lock off to a shop and stole several items which total value was approximately $11,300. The theft happened some time between May 7 – May 22.

Coarsegold cell phone theft
On Wednesday, May 22 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched the the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a theft of a cell phone. A deputy contacted the victim via telephone and a report was written.

Oakhurst warrant and drug paraphernalia arrests
On Wednesday, May 22 at 7:53 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 40000 block of CA-41 due to the driver of the vehicle having an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. A male passenger was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections (DOC) on charges.

Coarsegold domestic battery
On Wednesday, May 22 at 10:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic violence incident. Once on scene, an investigation was conducted which resulted in one of the subjects involved being arrested for domestic battery.

Oakhurst drug and vehicle code violations
On Thursday, May 23 at 3:54 a.m. a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 and Road 425C, but the vehicle failed to stop for lights and sirens and continued for approximately a mile before stopping. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on drug and vehicle codes violations.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, May 23 at 2:32 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a subject wanting to harm themselves. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and turned over to Sierra Ambulance for transport.

Coarsegold report of sexual assault
On Thursday, May 23 at 4:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a sexual assault. A report was written on the matter and to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold battery and public intoxication
On Thursday, May 23 at 9:01 p.m. a deputy responded in regards to a family disturbance. An investigation was completed and an adult female subject was arrested for battery and public intoxication. The female was transported and booked at the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, May 23 at 10:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft. Information was gathered for a report.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Thursday, May 23 at 10:30 p.m. a deputy contacted an incredibly intoxicated subject who was exhibiting aggressive behavior while in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. The subject was arrested for public intoxication.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, May 24 at 5:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a report of a burglary to some storage sheds. An investigation was conduced and suspect information was obtained.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Friday, May 24 at 8:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Shamrock Lane regarding a medical assist. During the incident an intoxicated male was located at the scene. The male was arrested and booked an an outstanding warrant out of Madera County. This case is to be closed.

Coarsegold sexual assault
On Friday, May 24 at 1 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a sexual assault that occurred in the Oakhurst area. A report was taken on the matter and is to be forwarded to detectives.

Bass Lake report of unlawful tree cutting
On Friday May 24 at 3:35 p.m. a deputy responded to the 39000 block of Robin Drive for a report of a tree being cut unlawfully. Parties were contacted and a report taken per the reporting party’s (RP) request.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, May 24 at 8:44 p.m. a deputy saw a subject in the area of Royal Oaks and Highway CA-41 who had several outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Bass Lake boating accident
On Saturday, May 25 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy responded to a call in the 54000 block of Road 432 for a boating accident. An investigation was conducted and a report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst felony probation violations and possession of drug paraphernalia
On Saturday, May 25 at 10:16 p.m. a deputy spoke with two males who were were in the 40000 block of CA-41. Both were found to be on active felony probation and were arrested for probation violations and possession of drug paraphernalia, then booked into the Madera County DOC.
