Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Feb. 24

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Feb. 18 to Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 10:37 a.m. deputies responded to the Oakhurst substation lobby for a report of a theft. Deputies arrived on scene and generated a report and the case was closed due to the lack of suspect information.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 10:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft that occurred in the 31000 block of Longview Lane East. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold disturbance and intoxication
On Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 12:03 a.m. deputies responded to the 42000 block of Yosemite Springs Way for a report of someone knocking on doors. Deputies contacted the subject and he was found to be highly intoxicated. He was arrested and taken to DOC for booking.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, Feb. 21 at 4:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Lucky Lane for reports of a theft. A report was taken and an investigation done. Case closed due to no suspect leads.

Coarsegold domestic assault
On Thursday, Feb. 21 at 12:28 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Longview Lane West for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived, statements were obtained and a report was written. The case will be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review.

O’Neals danger to self
On Thursday, Feb. 21 at 1:30 p.m. deputies responded to a report of an individual who was being aggressive and making statements about ending his life. Deputies arrived, spoke with the individual and the individual stated he had been having suicidal thoughts for the past year. The individual was placed on a mental health hold and was transported to the hospital.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Friday, Feb. 22 at 12:05 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 40000 block of Highway CA-41 on a vehicle that failed to stop at the stop sign. The male driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested and issued a citation and promised to appear at a later court date.

Coarsegold possible narcotics located in roadway
On Friday, Feb. 22 at 8:07 p.m. a deputy responded to the 29000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding possible narcotics located in the roadway. The possible narcotics was collected and booked into evidence for destruction.

Coarsegold found controlled substance
On Friday, Feb. 22 at 10:20 p.m. a deputy responded to the 20000 block of Club House Drive, regarding a found controlled substance. The controlled substance was turned over to law enforcement for proper destruction.

North Fork narcotics
On Saturday, Feb. 23 at 9:33 p.m. a self-initiated vehicle stop was conducted by a deputy on the 57000 block of Road 200. A male driver contacted and arrested for possession of methamphetamine and a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant. The subject was released with citations, the warrant was cleared by arrest and the case forwarded to Madera county DA to pursue fresh charges.

Oakhurst warrants and drug paraphernalia
On Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10:12 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 40000 block of CA-41 on a vehicle that did not have a license plate light. The driver was found to have three outstanding misdemeanor warrants and be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male driver was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

North Fork domestic violence
On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 12:34 a.m. a deputy responded to the 54000 block of Road 200 regarding a domestic dispute. The dominate aggressor was identified and arrested for domestic violence related charges. The suspect was booked into the Madera Department of Corrections (MDOC) for processing.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2:24 a.m. a deputy conducted a self-initiated vehicle stop conducted on the 35000 block of CA-41. Both driver and passenger were arrested on multiple narcotic related charges. Both subjects were booked into Madera County DOC. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue charges and to MADNET for review.

Oakhurst found property
On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding found property. Report written, property recovered, and case closed.
