Vehicles Vandalized At Bass Lake

BASS LAKE – The Sheriff’s Office is investigating vehicle vandalism at Bass Lake, after someone broke into a fenced area located off Road 222 and cut the gas lines on three trucks.

The incident was reported by a California Land Management (CLM) worker who discovered the damage to one truck while refueling, when he noticed gasoline pouring out from the bottom of the tank onto the ground.

After inspecting other vehicles parked in the yard, he determined two other trucks had been damaged, with their gas lines clipped in the vandalism, as well.

A report was made on Mar. 23, though the vandalism may have occured as early as Mar. 17.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation. They ask that anyone with information about this break-in to call (559) 675-7770 and refer to Case No. 14-1415.
