Valentine Activities Abound Locally

MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES—Officially Valentine’s Day falls on February 14, but you can make it an extended weekend of fun in our neighborhood, all the way from Friant up to Coarsegold, Oakhurst and Bass Lake. There’s something for all ages and all price points. Please be aware that most of these events require prior reservations. Put your heads together now to decide when and where you want to be.

There’s something for every taste and every budget.

Friday, February 9

  • Valentine’s Dance at Sierra Senior Center, Oakhurst
  • Spaghetti dinner, fantastic entertainment, a fun photo booth
  • Senior Center members, $5 per person. Non-members $10 per person

The “actual” day! If you haven’t already had your fill of Valentine’s Day, there’s plenty more to engage you.

  • Valentine’s Day Dinner at Bee’s Bakery & Café
  • 40250 Junction Drive, Oakhurst
  • Bee’s will be transformed into a romantic elevated experience with flowers, candlelight, linens and table service.
  • Four Course Prix Fixe Dinner, $70 per person
  • Entrée selections include salmon, steak, chicken piccata and vegetarian lasagna.
