NORTH FORK – This Friday, May 3, is Chawanakee Unified School District Night at the Grizzlies, and the community is invited to join in the fun at Chukchansi Park in Fresno.
“We sold 261 seats to the game and will be seated in sections 211 and 212 as a group,” says Bob Nelson, Chawanakee Unified Superintendent.“Our top seller was North Fork first grader, Elyssa Hagerle, who sold 48 tickets and will get to throw out the first pitch!”
The second top seller was North Fork fourth grader, Hunter Wayte, who sold 34 tickets and wins a North Fork School T-shirt.
There will be a fireworks show after the game, where the Grizzlies will play the Colorado Sky Sox, the AAA affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
“I am looking forward to singing ‘God Bless America’ during the seventh inning stretch!” says Nelson.
