Campgrounds Open Above Sky Ranch

OAKHURST – While Sky Ranch Road (Road 632) is still closed due to fire equipment, fire crews and the danger of falling trees from the Sky Fire, the campgrounds higher up are open. OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, burning north of Oakhurst, is now 95 percent contained at 500 acres. Sky Ranch Road remains closed, as the fire area is still a dangerous place due to snags, active fire, and fire personnel working and equipment traveling along the road.

Update On The Corrine Fire Tuesday 9AM

NORTH FORK – Residents of North Fork are resting a bit easier as the 920-acre Corrine Fire reaches 90 percent containment. Personnel assigned to the fire has been reduced to 546, with 30 engines, 16 fire crews, 7 water tenders and 5 dozers. All air resources have been released and made available for other incidents.

Activity On Sky Fire Winding Down

OAKHURST – The 500-acre Sky Fire is now 90 percent contained, and the number of personnel assigned to the incident has been reduced to 520. Today crews will continue fire line suppression repair and mop-up on all parts of the fire. Resource Advisors from the Forest Service have identified the extent of suppression repair needed.
