NORTH FORK – The 920-acre Corrine Fire, that started just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, is now 98 percent contained. Fire equipment and personnel continue to work in the area, doing mop-up, and ensuring that the fire is dead out. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving through the area.

OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, burning north of Oakhurst, is now 95 percent contained at 500 acres. Sky Ranch Road remains closed, as the fire area is still a dangerous place due to snags, active fire, and fire personnel working and equipment traveling along the road.

NORTH FORK – Residents of North Fork are resting a bit easier as the 920-acre Corrine Fire reaches 90 percent containment. Personnel assigned to the fire has been reduced to 546, with 30 engines, 16 fire crews, 7 water tenders and 5 dozers. All air resources have been released and made available for other incidents.

OAKHURST – The 500-acre Sky Fire is now 90 percent contained, and the number of personnel assigned to the incident has been reduced to 520. Today crews will continue fire line suppression repair and mop-up on all parts of the fire. Resource Advisors from the Forest Service have identified the extent of suppression repair needed.
