Corrine Fire Update Wednesday 8PM

NORTH FORK – The 920-acre Corrine Fire, that started just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, is now 98 percent contained.

Fire equipment and personnel continue to work in the area, doing mop-up, and ensuring that the fire is dead out. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving through the area.

There are currently 43 personnel assigned to the incident, including 2 fire crews, 2 dozers and 2 water tenders.

No homes were lost in the fire, but three outbuildings were destroyed.

The cause of the fire, which started south of North Fork in the area of Box Canyon Road off Corrine Lake Road, is still under investigation.
