OAKHURST – School will be out soon, and for the 45 – 60 kids who regularly rely on the Boys & Girls Club (BGC), along with those who will sign up just for summer, now is the time to note the dates for BGC-style fun.
The BGC has released its summer schedule, and here’s the breakdown:
The summer fee schedule will be the same for BGC members who are currently enrolled; that’s $10 per month for low income or $40 per month at the full-pay rate.
For kids attending the BGC for only this summer, there will be a flat $100 fee for the 9 weeks the organization runs summer programs.
Field trips are on a first come, first served basis, and are only open to BGC members whose dues are current. Only 9 kids can go on each big trip where the Club is closed for the day.
For trips like Wild Waters Adventures and Blackbeard’s Family Entertainment Center, both places where the BGC is scheduled to go twice: if a member goes on one trip, they can’t go to the same place a second time, unless there’s room.
Summer at the BGC is super fun, and reasonably priced. We’ll resume the weekly Yosemite High School pool trip, and as many members can go as want to go – unlimited in number. We just shuttle them right down the road!
That’s it, we just wanted to let you know what’s slated at the Club!
