Unlock Career Opportunities at the Next Step Job Faire

OAKHURST—Looking for a career? Need a job change? Just want to see what’s what in the world of employment? You won’t want to miss the Next Step Job Faire. Here’s your chance to explore careers in a multitude of fields. The faire, sponsored by Yosemite Adult School, takes place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Yosemite High School Athletic Fields.

Faire Open to High Schoolers and Public at Different Times

The Next Step Job Faire is open to high school students only from the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. However, the public is invited to participate from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Whether you’re a high schooler considering your next move to college or career or an adult seeking change or advancement, there’s so much for you to investigate in one stop. Not only that, you can score some good eats as you go. So far the weather promises to cooperate, so there’s the added bonus of a little vitamin D, as well.

Yosemite Adult School Changes Lives

Yosemite Adult School (YAS) takes its job of changing lives seriously. The job faire constitutes one method of attacking that goal. In one afternoon YAS brings together over 30 presenters from government entities to the private sector. Check out other ways YAS has to bring out “the new you,” such as English as a Second Language programs, Wildland Firefighter and Culinary programs. Of course you can earn your GED (Graduate Equivalency Diploma/General Education Diploma) through YAS if that’s your aim.

A Wide Range of Presenters

This year’s presenters include a mixture of college, government and private-sector entities both local and from various parts of California.

Even if you’re simply contemplating a possible job change, there couldn’t be a better opportunity to explore the wide potential for a rewarding and lucrative career in a field of your choice, including locations both local and throughout California (and the nation).
