BASS LAKE – It’s beginning to look a lot like you-know-what, as the 22nd annual Bass Lake Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Lights is set for Saturday, Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m.
The excitement takes place at the Bass Lake Event Center, complete with photo-op Santa visit for kids.
“This event has been very successful for many years because of the generosity of the people, businesses, and service organizations in our community,” say event organizers.
“In the years past we have given away many great prizes in our raffle drawing, which benefits the Yosemite Band and Choir.” Past prizes have included bikes, iPods, gift certificates, gift baskets, services and more. Raffle prize winners must be present to win.
Want to enter the parade of lights? Organizers say it’s easy, with a $15 registration fee.
“All you have to do is put lights on something: a car, person, float or be creative… decorate, decorate, decorate, and have some fun! Enter your float and make this the largest parade ever! Win a prize for the best float or most creative. Bring the family, decorate the family, and let’s have some fun!”
Entry forms are available in the Pines Market.
Kids may be interested to know that Santa is expected to be visiting the Lakeview Room. Santa will be sitting for pictures courtesy of the Bass Lake Event Center and Bass Lake Water Sports. The photographs are free.
Donations for the raffle or Toys for Tots may be sent to the Pines Market in care of Cheri Thomas or Earlene Keller. For questions or to register for the parade call (559) 642-3141 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
