Last year we came across this unnamed Lake (below), so Monday after lunch we looked for it again.
Instead, after climbing yet another ridge, this was what we found. The water had percolated down through the rocks, justifying the lack of a name.
We then headed for our next lake (Mt Gibbs in the background.)
Which was mostly frozen over…
Debra attempted to fish, but to no avail.
Rocks in the water made some nice patterns.
The sun was trying to set, so we made our way down some gullies, sometimes sinking up to knees (Debra said waist) in the soft powder.
And tip-toed over the creeks again.
And sometimes just plowing across. We had left home at 5:30 AM and returned at 8:30 PM. Great hike.
