Yosemite Audubon Field Trip To Wawona

YOSEMITE — Be on the lookout for warblers, woodpeckers, flycatchers, wrens, and an abundance of coyotes as Yosemite Audubon members set out on a three-mile stroll around the meadow in Wawona.

The field trip is scheduled for Saturday, Jun. 3. Participants can meet at Burger King in Oakhurst at 7:30 a.m. for carpooling, or meet in front of the store in Wawona at 8 a.m.

The trail is designated as “easy” with only a slight gain in elevation, say organizers. Bring binoculars, lunch, water and mosquito repellent if desired. If time allows the group may also check out the Goat Meadow, aka Snow Play area, just below the park entrance off of Highway 41. The field trip should finish between noon and 1 p.m.

Registration is requested for this event. Please contact Vern at (559) 760-6327 or via email: roygbiv@nctv.com.
