OAKHURST – It’s a new year and Yosemite High School FFA is ready to rock ‘n roll and make this the best year this chapter has seen in a while!
In the month of January FFA members received animals, and are excited to prepare for the Chowchilla Fair in May.
February is also a very busy month for Yosemite FFA, as we have many members preparing for contests at the Fair including Floral, Best Informed Greenhand (Freshmen), Welding, Public Speaking and more.
YHS FFA is proud to announce that chapter reporter Courtney Herrera is running for FFA Regional officer this month. Herrera is a sophomore and is very excited. She hopes to win so she can share her passion with not only the YHS chapter but the Region, as well. Herrera’s interview takes place at the Sophomore and Junior Leadership Conference in Visalia on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14.
Yosemite is taking a good number of students to the conference, in hopes that they learn great skills to bring back to the chapter.
We’ll post more information soon about the First ever FFA WEEK, which takes place February 25-27. All of YHS, FFA members and others are ask to participate in this event!
