FRESNO – The reality is that many businesses are not able to qualify for a traditional commercial loan from a bank. The Valley Small Business Development Corporation is hosting a workshop that will present strategies, options and alternative sources for you to consider in your pursuit of business financing.

This workshop is designed for businesses that are up and running. However, start-up entities are welcome to attend.

Topics covered include:

• Understanding Your Situation and How it Affects Your Ability to Borrow
• Community-Based Lenders
• Alternatives to Traditional Loans
• DIY is Not a Four-Letter Word
• Laying the Groundwork For a Loan in the Future
• Sources of Assistance

The workshop is presented by Rich Mostert, Director – Technical Resource Assistance Center, Valley Small Business Development Corporation.

Date: Friday, February 28, 2014

Location: 1444 Fulton Street, Fresno, CA (Downtown Business Hub)

Time: 9 – 11:00 a.m.

Cost: Normally the cost to attend this workshop would be $50. However, due to the generosity of the sponsor, Union Bank, it is offered to small business owners at no charge.

Parking: Free parking in Downtown Business Hub lot. Additional free parking is available directly across the Street on the Northeast corner of Stanislaus and Fulton Streets.
