MADERA COUNTY–Rebecca Martinez, County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, announced today that in order to be eligible to vote in the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election, persons must register to vote by Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
To be eligible to register to vote at the Presidential Primary Election, you must be a United States Citizen. You must also live in Madera County and be 18 years old on or before Election Day.
The passage of Proposition 17 in 2020 changed the law and individuals who are currently on parole for the conviction of a felony, may now register and vote. Know your rights and register to vote today!
Registered voters who have moved, changed their name, or wish to change their political party must re-register by February 20th.
Voter registration cards are available at the County Clerk’s office (call to request a card by mail or come in). Also at local Post Offices, local Libraries, or register to vote online at www.votemadera.com or www.registertovote.ca.gov.
