NORTH FORK — Bandit Town has been scene of movie productions in the past, and that trend continues with a new feature — “Above Snakes” –currently filming at the picturesque location.
The film’s director, Tyler Smith, comes from the famed local production company “Tremendum” — which produced the thriller “The Gallows” and the just released “Gallows 2.”
This time Smith and his crew are joining forces with Jefybal Productions and using Jenn McMillan’s Bandit Town as the backdrop for their western thriller.
“We wanted to keep the filming as local as we could,” Smith said.
When we contacted Jennifer McMillan about Bandit Town, she was more than helpful. She and (Madera County Film Commissioner) Wade (Wheeler) have been amazing making their property available,” Smith added. “It has such great visuals with the church, windmill and all the buildings. We’re more than pleased with our experience here!”
Filming on “Above Snakes” wraps up mid November.
