AHWAHNEE – Thinking about some early education or know a little someone who wants to be a Wildcat? Wasuma Elementary is holding its Kindergarten Round-up Thursday, Apr. 30 at 8:30 a.m. for all kindergarten students interested in attending Wasuma during the 2015-16 school year.
Students must turn 5 years old by September 1st to be eligible to enter kindergarten or have a birth date from September 2nd-December 1st to enter transitional kindergarten.
Wasuma Principal Jason Mercier says to be sure to bring the following paperwork with you on April 30th:
1. Birth Certificate
2. Proof of Residence (utility bill)
3. Immunization Records
4. Registration packet (you may pick one up in the office)
Parents and guardians will have an opportunity to meet some of the teachers and specialists as well as learn about the various programs that are at Wasuma. Administration will be taking names for a waiting list of students who are interested in an intra-district or inter-district transfer to Wasuma.
