MADERA COUNTY — Rebecca Martinez, County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, announced today that in order to be eligible to vote in the Sept. 14, 2021, California Gubernatorial Recall Election, persons must register to vote by Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.
In order to be eligible to register to vote at the Sept. 14 Recall Election, you must be a United States Citizen, live in Madera County, and be 18 years old on or before Election Day.
Additionally, in Nov. 2020, Proposition 17 was approved by voters and the law was changed to allow individuals who are currently on parole for the conviction of a felony, to register and vote.
Registered voters who have moved, changed their name, or wish to change their political party must re-register by Aug. 30.
