AHWAHNEE – The woman who died in a crash on Highway 49 yesterday morning has been identified by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
Heather Dame, 43, of Ahwahnee, died when her pickup apparently skidded on black ice and veered into oncoming traffic.
The accident happened at 9:34 a.m. just north of Oakhurst near Vista Del Rio Drive. The investigation is ongoing.
