OAKHURST–Shortly after 7:30 am this morning, April 4, 2024, The Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert stating they were involved in law enforcement activity near Oakhurst. The alert stated, “The Madera Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting the Office of Homeland Security with a search warrant in the 30000 block of Road 425B in Oakhurst.” They continued, “There is no ongoing threat, though residents can expect to see law enforcement personnel in the area while the investigation continues.”
Many residents in the area reported seeing a helicopter flying over the area and the presence of law enforcement personnel.
