OAKHURST – On November 11, 2020, Veterans Day, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8743 and Marine Corps Griswold Detachment #1121 will be at Oakhill Cemetery to put up the Avenue of the Flags to honor all of our military veterans. They are requesting volunteers from the community to help put up the flags at 0730 and take them down at 4:00.
Social distancing will be followed and all volunteers will be requested to wear a mask and bring a pair of gloves to protect your hands.
Light refreshments will be served to all volunteers.
Due to COVID-19 we will not be conducting any ceremonies but the flags will still be displayed.
