Two-Vehicle Accident Sends Motorcyclist To Hospital Via Skylift

NORTH FORK — Just after 5:30 p.m. today CHP received reports of a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a Jeep on Road 225 and Road 274 in North Fork.

According to CHP, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the  21-year-old male driver of the Jeep from Oakhurst made an illegal u-turn, striking a 41-year-old male motorcycle rider from Paso Robles.

The male motorcyclist was transported by SkyLift to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Jeep was reportedly uninjured.

The rider of the motorcycle was reported to be unconscious and was transported by ground ambulance to the landing zone at North Fork Elementary School.

Per CHP, no drugs or alcohol were involved.

The accident remains under investigation.
