MARIPOSA COUNTY – A Silver Alert has been issued in Mariposa, Merced and Stanislaus Counties for a woman missing since Friday, Nov. 22, according to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. Mary Enebrad, 84, was last seen on Friday at approximately 9:30 a.m. leaving her residence in Mariposa in a tan 2001 Honda Civic, California license 4NOH968.

MOUNTAIN AREA – Firefighters have been responding over the past few weeks to reports of smoke which turned out to be burn piles lit off by residents. These burn piles are illegal, as fire restrictions have not been lifted for any elevations in Madera and Mariposa Counties, or any areas in the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.

COARSEGOLD – A Mariposa man remains behind bars facing felony drug charges following his arrest early Thursday morning in Coarsegold. Christopher Davis Franksen, 36, was taken into custody at around 2:24 a.m., Oct. 31, on Road 417 near Quartz Mountain Road, just west of Indian Lakes Estates, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

MARIPOSA – On Saturday, Oct. 12, Mariposa County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant on Burl Drive during a marijuana investigation. According to the Sheriff’s Office, approximately 175 pounds of processed marijuana was located at the garden site.
