Senior Centers Offer Intro To Internet Class

OAKHURST/MARIPOSA — If the idea of a smart phone makes you feel dumb, or you want to keep up with the kids on social media, or for any reason you need a little help navigating the digital terrain of technology, you’ll want to know about an upcoming free event sponsored by Sierra Tel. The public is invited to attend a seminar clearly titled, “Intro to the Internet,” on Monday, Nov. 4 in Oakhurst and on Thursday, Nov. 7 in Mariposa. Both meetings will be held at senior centers.

The 30 minute sessions are designed to explain the basics of going online, using a computer, smart phone or tablet. All are welcome to attend and organizers plan to leave plenty of time for questions.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the Intro to Internet seminar will be at the Oakhurst Senior Center located at 49111 Cinder Lane. The event starts at 10 a.m.

Then on Thursday, Nov. 7, the Intro to Internet seminar will be at the Mariposa Senior Center located at 5246 Spriggs Lane. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
