COARSEGOLD – Caring Vets and American Legion Post 110 will be hosting their first annual Sporting Clay Shoot & BBQ on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Sun Mountain Gun Club, 32866 Shotgun Lane in Coarsegold.
Check-in and a continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m., with the competition starting at 9 a.m., and a BBQ lunch at noon.
There will be 10 stations – 100 birds – and prizes will be awarded to the top shooters. First prize is a lifetime membership to the Sun Mountain Gun Club.
Cost is $110 per shooter for early registration prior to Oct. 1, and $125 per shooter the day of the competition. Fees include shooting and lunch, with competitors providing their own shells. Lunch only is $20. Eye and ear protection are required.
All proceeds go to support local veterans and youth programs.
