NORTH FORK – At approximately 8:40 am on Thursday Dec. 17th a solo car accident on Road 200 / Walker Grade in O’Neal’s, claimed the life of 53 year old George Sanchez of North Fork.
Sanchez, driving a 2002 Toyota was travelling westbound on Road 200 at approximately 60 MPH. There was heavy rain fall with light traffic as Sanchez was negotiating a curve in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. As the car slid off of the road it collided with a dirt embankment and overturned.
Sanchez was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Sanchez sustained fatal injuries.
A passenger identified as 22 year old Greg Sanchez was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries and was transported to Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno.
