Single Vehicle Rollover On Highway 41

COARSEGOLD – Traffic came to a halt this afternoon just north of Yosemite Springs Parkway when a single vehicle rollover blocked Highway 41 for nearly an hour.

At 2:51 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, Pearl Day, 68, of Rohnert Park, was northbound just past Aaron’s Mini Storage, when she drifted far enough to the right that her wheel ran up onto the concrete curb.

This apparently prompted her to overcorrect back to the left, causing the Saturn SL to rolled onto it’s top, coming to rest in the southbound lane.

Saturn after tow truck turns it overCoarsegold Engine #8 responded to the scene, and Sierra Ambulance personnel checked the driver for injuries. She was alert and walking around, and appeared to have only suffered a few minor cuts. She was transported by ground ambulance to St. Agnes for further evaluation.

CHP kept traffic moving, one lane at a time, until the scene was cleared at 3:42 p.m.
