OAKHURST — Gather your daubers! It’s time for a little wearin’ of the green and perhaps even some winnin’ of the green as lucky people from across the foothils descend on the Oakhurst Community Center for the Sierra Oakhurst Kiwanis traditional spring bingo night, in search of their pot of gold.

The event is Saturday, Mar. 18 and doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. In between guests have the opportunity to dine on a delicious fare provided by the Kiwanis in the form of Irish Beef Stew with biscuit and butter, broccoli salad, and a tasty eclair.

So what you do is, you wear something green and outlandish, then show up and cruise the raffle items, get your tickets organized, hug all your friends, have some beef stew and perhaps a beverage, and then play your bingo heart out.

$25 includes dinner and bingo cards. All proceeds from the event go toward great causes in our neighborhoods for local children. Also, this is a really fun evening with friends. So you’re already winning.

There’s a famous 50/50 split, a marvelous raffle, and a no-host bar to grease the wheels for all of the above. Naturally there are prizes for bingo!

Reserved seating is available for groups of 12. For tickets or information call Vicki at (559) 683-5854 or John (559) 658-7249.
