Oakhurst Senior Named CHP ‘Volunteer of Year’

MOUNTAIN AREA — On Thursday (March 5), the offices — and officers — of CHP Central Division came together to celebrate its annual Employee Appreciation Day.

The Oakhurst Area CHP would like to congratulate the following 2019 employees of the year:

  • Officer of the Year – Tyler Long
  • Professional Staff – Dave Flint
  • Senior Volunteer of the Year – Nancy Iden

In addition to receiving the Oakhurst Area Senior Volunteer of the Year award, Nancy’s hard work led her to be recognized as Central Division’s Senior Volunteer of the Year. This was the highest Senior Volunteer award given and was chosen out of the 18 offices in Central Division.

Nancy even received a thumbs up from special guest Erik Estrada — the actor who played “Ponch” on the long-running television series CHiPs.

“We are very proud of these employees and all of their hard work,” said a post on the CHP Facebook page.
