Oakhurst Library Hosts Local Crafter

Submitted by the Oakhurst Library

OAKHURST – The Oakhurst Library is pleased to host an event for local crafter, Linda Mosley on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Linda has lived in our foothills for the past 16 years. And, she has been enthralled with all kinds of crafts: cake decorating, ceramics, sewing, bead work and stained glass.

About 7 years ago, Linda was introduced to the art of making her own greeting cards. She learned this craft over several years at our local Cat’s Meow shop, located at 40315 Junction Drive in Oakhurst.

Linda has found that making her own greeting cards not only saves money but allows her to design unique cards to fit every occasion with just the right message.

The philosophy she uses for every craft is to breakdown the process into simple steps. Learning each step is the key to learning any craft and having an expert like Linda nearby will also help you learn the little tricks she has mastered over time.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, Linda will be in the Community Room at the Oakhurst Library, 49044 Civic Circle in Oakhurst. She will be joined by volunteers from Cat’s Meow and they will bring FREE KITS for the audience to make their own greeting cards.

Linda and the volunteers will assist each person in making three unique greeting cards. This is a wonderful opportunity to make holiday cards and to learn a craft that can be used all year long.

Also, if you would like to donate your cards, Linda and Cat’s Meow will send them to our military personnel who will be away from home over the holidays.

Linda and the volunteers will be at the library’s new Community Room on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. If you have any questions about this special event, please call the library at 559-683-4838 or Cat’s Meow at 559-642-6611.
