New Year’s Eve Live Music, DJs, Mountain Idol

OAKHURST — Organizers behind the New Year’s Eve bash at Yosemite Gateway Restaurant say it’s going to be one of epic proportions, featuring live music, an enticing raffle (hello, big TV), and a little something called Mountain Idol — Episode 2.

Guests will be treated to a a glow-themed after-party complete with live DJs and a massive sound system YGR likes to call, “Black Mamba.”

They’ll be serving champagne for a midnight toast and hors d’oeuvres to “keep ya’ dancing through the new year!” The evening begins officially at 7 p.m. and ends at 1:30 a.m. There is no cost to enter and everyone is invited to attend, hang out and enjoy without a cover charge.

If you want access to “bottomless champagne” from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., along with premium glow accessories, you can purchase an optional entertainment package. That’s $10 per person online, or $15 at the door. Wristband purchase is totally optional, say organizers — all are welcome with or without.

The wristband package also includes a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 32” flat-screen TV, Comedy Show tickets, $25 YGR gift certificate, or breakfast/dinner and complimentary night’s stay at Best Western for two. The drawing is every hour from 9 p.m. to midnight and you must be present to win.
