Missing North Fork Juvenile Located In Santa Barbara

NORTH FORK – A young girl who was taken by her mother on May 31, and was the subject of a search by law enforcement, has been found.

Ten-year-old Isla June Duncan has been safely located in Santa Barbara, Calif. She will remain in the custody of Santa Barbara Police Department until she is reunited with her father.

On the afternoon of June 1, sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for service at a residence in North Fork for a possible parental abduction of a ten-year-old girl.

Isla June Duncan was taken by her mother, Viviana Andrea Duncan, from a residence in North Fork on May 31, at around 8:30 p.m, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Viviana stated she was taking Isla to dinner, but she did not return.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance and widespread sharing of information to bring attention to this case.
