Missing Coarsegold Man Located In A Merced Hospital

TULARE COUNTY — The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has announced they have received good news in the case of a Coarsegold man who was reported missing earlier this week.

Billy Pippin, 69, a resident of Coarsegold, was reported missing in Tulare County by friends on Monday, June 10. Today, deputies there report that Mr. Pippin has been located at a hospital in Merced and he is safe.

The news was confirmed by his son, Terry Pippin.

“My dad has been found alive in a Merced hospital,” the younger Pippin has written in a public Facebook post today.

“Some ladies found him disoriented in a CVS parking lot, no money, no ID, out of gas, so they called an ambulance and he has been there for the last three days… a nurse noticed [the] missing person photo on the news!”

Prior to being located in Merced, Mr. Pippin was last seen on June 9, say authorities, and was reportedly on his way home to his house in Coarsegold at the time of his disappearance.

No additional information is available at this time.
