OAKHURST – Spuds and fancy table duds will be elevated to new heights as Mountain Community Women (MCW) invite the public to gather for the 27th annual Tables and Taters Luncheon, Raffle and Table Setting Contest, planned for Monday, Nov. 7 at the Oakhurst Community Center, starting at 10:30 a.m.
The tasty and tasteful event features a baked potato bar with a variety of toppings, along with the chance to view and vote on decorative table settings and “tablescapes.” $15 donation includes lunch and benefits the Oakhurst Community Center, located at39800 Road 425B.
The community center is the hub of Oakhurst and the surrounding communities, and is used for wedding receptions, special meetings, voting, memorials, meetings, fundraisers, and more.
Door prizes, raffle items and a silent auction are also being offered along with a display of fancifully decorated tables.
MCW will supply one eight-foot rectangular or five-foot round table. Minimum four table settings, maximum six. Candles may not be lit and all decorations must be on the table.
