The Griswold Mt. Detachment can often be seen wearing their red shirts in front of Vons, True Value and Grocery Outlet, giving out small American Flag with a red rose for donations towards our yearly Scholarship for Seniors at three high schools in the area. They also make donations to the Semper Fi Fund for wounded veterans and they Toys for Tots Program where they distribute over 4,000 toys to needy children in the area.

Members are trying to reach out to Marine Corps veterans in the area to join in celebrating the 241 birthday of the corps. The Griswold detachment also includes associate members (veterans) from all branches of the military service.
