Man Wanted For Attempted Murder Captured In Vegas

MADERA COUNTY – One of two men wanted for robbery and attempted murder in Coarsegold last month has been arrested, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office. A second suspect is still at large.

Robert Lee Huber, 20, of Oakhurst, was captured late Wednesday, May 7, by Metro Police in Las Vegas. He remains behinds bars awaiting extradition.

Adrian Joseph ReyesMeanwhile, Madera County Sheriff’s deputies are still searching for 29-year-old Adrian Joseph Reyes of Ahwahnee. The Sheriff’s Office reports that both Reyes and Huber were positively identified in the aggravated assault case that occurred on Konklin Road in Coarsegold, where a man was robbed and then shot in the early morning hours of Apr. 2.

According to reports, the victim, who is on probation in another county for narcotics, was visiting the mountain area to gamble and party with friends.

Adrian Joseph Reyes -- HONOR LOYALTY RESPECT -- tattoo just below necklineAt some point during the night, the group decided to hook up somewhere between North Fork and Bass Lake to “party.” They ended up on Konklin Road just off Highway 41, where the two suspects robbed the victim, then beat and shot him, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, whose name is not being released, has recovered from his wounds.
