Madera County To Sell Delinquent Properties Online

MADERA – The Madera County Tax Collector-Treasurer, Tracy Kennedy Desmond, has announced that her office will be conducting an online tax defaulted property auction using the company Bid4Assets.

Starting on Saturday, May 16, Bid4Assets will officially open an online tax defaulted sale for the County of Madera, which will span four days with bidding available 24 hours per day.

Potential bidders may access the user-friendly Bid4Assets website at www.bid4assets.com, instead of coming directly to the County for an in-person tax sale. The County has identified 54 parcels for the upcoming sale, which is subject to change if property owners fully redeem their parcels before the tax sale date.

“Many years ago we participated in having tax sales on the internet; however we did not have a good experience, so for the past 11 years I have conducted the sales personally,” says Kennedy Desmond.

Conducting a tax sale online over the span of more than one day is now common among county tax collectors, and many improvements have been put into place to facilitate the sales online. In the next few months, Bid4Assets will be conducting tax sales for several other counties throughout the state.

“I’m very excited about using this online process. Using this service, open over four days, will give participants more access to the process,” said Kennedy Desmond.
