Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through October 21

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 15, to Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 4:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of a theft. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Bass Lake warrant and narcotics arrest
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 8:13 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 274 near Road 222 on a vehicle that had expired registration. The driver was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and possession of methamphetamine.

Oakhurst found narcotics
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 9:53 a.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding found narcotics. A report was written and forwarded to detectives.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. deputies responded for an agency assist. Deputies arrived on scene and generated a report and the scene was turned over to EMS.

Oakhurst attempt to drive vehicle into store, narcotics possession
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 3:43 p.m. deputies dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of a subject harassing the store employee and then attempting to drive a vehicle into the store. A male passenger in the vehicle was found to be under the influence and in possession of prescription medication for sales. The male was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail.

Coarsegold assault
On Monday, Oct. 15 at 3:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Wells Road West regarding an assault. Report written, evidence obtained, and charges filed.

Coarsegold family disturbance and vandalism
On Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 4:22 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Sunset Ridge Road W. regarding a family disturbance that had started up again after deputies had defused the situation earlier. Upon arrival it was determined the the rear window and front windshield of a vehicle had been smashed out by the residents son. The subject was located on the property and arrested for felony
vandalism. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Coarsegold subject reports being stabbed by a car key
On Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 9:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 Block of Main Marion Drive for a report of a subject stating that he was stabbed by a car key. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County District Attorneys Office for filing of charges.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 12:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of possible methamphetamine. A report was written and the suspect methamphetamine was collected and booked for destruction.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of found suspected methamphetamine. The suspected methamphetamine was collected and booked for destruction at the Madera County Sheriffs Office Sub Station.

North Fork warrant arrest after report of stolen chainsaw
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 10:34 p.m. a deputy responded to the 56000 block of Wildplum Lane regarding a stolen chainsaw. While on scene, the deputy contacted two separate female subjects, one of which had active misdemeanor warrants and the other was open active CDCR parole. Once subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections and the other was cited out.

Bass Lake found property
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 11:07 a.m. deputies responded to the corner of Road 274 and Marina View Drive regarding found property. A report was taken and the property was booked for safekeeping.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 1:33 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding homeless subjects causing a disturbance. The subjects were contacted and one was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and cited out.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. deputies responded to the 43000 block of Mojo Lane regarding a trespassing call. A report was written.

Oakhurst forgery
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 3:14 p.m. a deputy is dispatched to a phone report regarding a forgery that occurred in the 40000 block of CA-49. A suspect was identified. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Friant missing person
On Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 4:18 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Three Gate Road regarding a missing person. A report was taken and a missing person entered into the missing persons system.

Oakhurst possession of a concealed knife, public intoxication
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 1:19 p.m. deputies received a report of a suspicious subject in the 41000 block of Highway 41, resulting in the arrest of a Fresno County man for a probation violation, possession of a concealed knife, two misdemeanor Madera County warrants and public intoxication.

Coarsegold found narcotics and bullet
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 4:50 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics and a single bullet on the casino floor. There are no leads as to the ownership of either item. This case may be closed.

Raymond missing juvenile
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 1:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a runaway juvenile report. A report was taken and the juvenile was entered into the nationwide database as a runaway.

Coarsegold found controlled substance
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m. a deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of a controlled substance found. There were no suspects identified with the substance. The substance was booked into property for destruction.

Oakhurst burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 52000 block of Suncrest Drive in regards to a burglary. An investigation was conducted and a report written. Limited suspect information was given.

Oakhurst male with gunshot wound, stolen firearm
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7:44 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of CA-41 and Victoria Lane for a report of a male subject with a gunshot wound to the leg. The deputy contacted the subject and located the firearm which was determined to have been stolen. The subject was transported to the hospital and a report was written. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for filing of charges.

Oakhurst narcotics found
On Thursday, Oct. 18 at 8:50 p.m. deputies were in the area of CA-41 and Victoria Lane on a call for service. A deputy found a black case with what is believed to be methamphetamine inside. The item was collected and booked for destruction.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 12:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Suncrest Court in regards to a burglary. An investigation was conducted and report written.

Coarsegold cell phone theft
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 12:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft of a cell phone. Deputies arrived and a report was written.

Coarsegold disturbance and warrant arrest
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 9:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of CA-41 regarding a disturbance between two people. The female had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was cited and released. Both subjects were in a verbal argument.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 9:12 a.m. a deputy responded to the 41000 block of Highway 41 in regards to a fraud report. An investigation was completed and a report was written.

Oakhurst missing person
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Boulder Drive regarding a voluntary missing adult case. The subject and his vehicle were entered into the missing person system and a surrounding law enforcement agencies were notified. This case to remain open pending locating the subject.

Bass Lake golf cart stolen
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 2:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 regarding a theft of a golf cart. There are no current leads at this time. Case to be suspended.

Oakhurst found property
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 3:55 p.m. a deputy responded to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a citizen requesting to turn in found property. The items were booked into property as such and this case may be closed.

Coarsegold dirt bike stop, warrant arrest, bike towed
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 3:46 p.m. a deputy made a traffic stop on a dirt bike near the intersection of CA-41 and Skyline Ridge Road. The operator of the dirt bike had a misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released. The bike was towed by Advanced Auto Center.

Coarsegold fraud
On Friday, Oct. 19 at 8:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding someone posing as a staff member, obtaining hotel guests’ credit card information. A report was written.

Oakhurst vandalism to vehicle
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the area of Hangtree Lane and Road 428. A report was written and evidence collected. Case suspended due to lack of suspect info.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to found narcotics. The possible narcotics were collected and booked into evidence at MCSO. No suspect information.

Ahwahnee stay-away order violation
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3:08 a.m. deputies responded to the 44000 block of CA-49 for a report of a violation of a stay away order. Deputies arrived and a report was written.

North Fork medical aid for apparent narcotics overdose
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 6:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Kunugib Way in regards to a medical aid. A male subject had possibly overdosed on an illegal narcotic. The male subject was unconscious and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A report was written to document the incident.

Ahwahnee coroner’s report
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of CA-49 regarding a coroner’s report. The subject was deceased in her own home. Refer to Chief Coroner for review.

Coarsegold custody dispute
On Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8:45 p.m. a deputy responded to Road 415 regarding violation of a restraining order. Through an investigation it was determined to be largely a custody dispute. When attempting to contact the mother and children, it was learned she had possibly fled with the children and was possibly suicidal. An alert to local agencies was issued and a report written.

Oakhurst suspicious house fire
On Sunday, Oct. 21 at 8:15 a.m. deputies responded to the 50000 block of Critter Creek Lane for a report of a structure fire. Deputies arrived and were advised that the fire was suspicious. A report was written.

Coarsegold lost cell phone
On Sunday, Oct. 21 at 9:23 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a lost cell phone. Deputies contacted the reporting party via telephone and a report was written.

North Fork report of possible child abuse
On Sunday, Oct. 21 at 10:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 225 regarding a report of possible child abuse. An investigation was conducted. Report to be forwarded to CPS and the District Attorney for review of charges.
