Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Mar. 10

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 4 to Sunday, Mar. 10, 2019.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 9:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Park Sierra Drive in regards to a theft. A report was taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst possible assault
On Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 12:35 p.m. while on patrol on the 50000 block of School Road, a deputy received information related to possible assault. A report was written.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Wednesday, Mar. 6 at 12:38 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject during a pedestrian check in the 40000 block of Highway 41. The subject was determined to be heavily intoxicated and in possession of .6 grams of a white crystal like substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. The subject was booked for public intoxication and possession of methamphetamine.

Oakhurst civil issue between father and son
On Wednesday, Mar. 6 at 9:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Highway 41 regarding a civil issue between father and son. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold reported sex crime involving a child
On Wednesday, Mar. 6 at 7:47 p.m. a deputy received a report of a male juvenile molesting his 2-year-old half-sister at a residence. The suspect was booked at juvenile hall and the case is to be forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst found debit card
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 1:30 p.m. a deputy found a debit card. The debit card was booked for safe keeping.

Coarsegold scam
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 1:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a phone report of a scam which occurred on the 30000 block of N. Dome Drive. The case was closed due to lack of suspect(s) and investigative leads.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 8:27 a.m. a report was written to submit evidence seized during MADNET investigation.

Ahwahnee warrant arrest
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 2:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Crooks Mountain Road regarding a subject who had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked without incident.

Oakhurst report of theft unfounded
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 4:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Highway 41 regarding the theft of money and a California identification card. The items were ultimately returned and it was determined that no crimes were committed. This case is for documentation only and may be closed.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Thursday, Mar. 7 at 5:48 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the area of Road 222 and Dorstan Drive. The subject stopped has medical issues and was determined to be unable to care for herself. While waiting from an ambulance, the individual’s mother arrived and the individual was turned over to her mother for care. A report was written for documentation.

North Fork coroner’s report
On Saturday, Mar. 9 at 12:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Timberview Road regarding a coroner’s case. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to Chief Deputy Coroner for review.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Saturday, Mar. 9 at 5:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic incident. The victim advised that her boyfriend, whom she lives with, choked her and grabbed her by the mouth with his hands and pulled her to the floor. The suspect was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident.
